Jessica Tunbridge was hired at Grand Rapids State Bank on January 19, 2016, as a part-time teller. She follows in her mom’s footsteps, Tracy Tunbridge, who also worked at GRSB in the Item Processing Department a few years back. Jessica stated, “It was my mom, in fact, who urged me to apply for the teller position.” Jessica is happy she followed that advice.
Jessica also works at Walmart part-time as a jewelry sales associate. She has an Associates of Arts Degree from Itasca Community College in the “Class Act” program for training prospective teachers. “I eventually might go back some day to complete my degree,” she added.
Jessica has lived in three different states growing up. She was born in the Twin Cities and later in life moved to Missouri and New Jersey. She returned back to Minnesota as she was about to enter 8th grade, and then her family moved to Grand Rapids.
“Even though I’m not super outdoorsy, Minnesota is my favorite,” Jessica said. She also admitted a secret indulgence for Netflix. “When I’m not working I like to just hang out and relax.”
essica has two brothers, one older and one younger. She does not have any pets. In fact, when asked if she had any, she quickly replied: “No…I’m allergic!”
“So far, so good,” was Jessica’s reply when asked how things have been going to date at GRSB. “Since I’m just days into it, I have a lot to learn,” she said. “My coworkers are so friendly and I really like the customers, too. In fact, meeting with and talking to the customers are my favorite parts of the job.”
